QCNC is proud to be the owner of the first 5-axis milling machine in
Trinidad. This machine has the normal X,Y and Z axes of a conventional mill plus
two rotational axes, A and B. All 5 axes can be moved simultaneously while
machining to produce complex parts such as impellers, moulds, turbine blades
etc.
Production times on parts can be significantly reduced since the 5 axes can be
used to orientate the part during machining as opposed to multiple setups on
manual machines. This also increases the accuracy by using a single setup as
opposed to repositioning the part multiple times. |
